For the eagerly awaited film adaptation of Dan Brown's novel of the same name, Audiomotion were asked by VFX company Double Negative to motion capture various digital crowd sequences including the complex explosion scenes in St Peter's Square.
In order to capture a realistic shockwave effect caused by the anti-matter explosion, a team of professional stunt artists and coordiantors were called in to perform the choreographed scenes. Using a plethora of specially constructed ramps, wires and harnesses, we were able to carefully recreate everything from tremors to full-scale blasts - all under a controlled environment.
